The Verdon has several sides : tonic and rough when it meanders into impressive gorges and white waters, then quiet and serene when the rivers flows into one of the 4 lakes : Esparron de Verdon, Quinson, Sainte-Croix and Castillon.
Located downstream of the Verdon’s Grand Canyon and the Lake of Sainte-Croix. 328 ha-large. Composed of 2 bowls, it’s bordered by coves with turquoise waters and overlooked by cliffs. Extraordinary wild shores accessible in canoe are also found. Important summer tourist site, especially for fishing and all kinds of water leisures. Boats with engines are forbidden, leaving the lake to sailers, pedal-boats, canoes… Bathing is done under surveillance.
